Archana Garodia Gupta is the author of The Women Who Ruled India, which details the stories of 20 women who ruled in India. She writes on retail, women’s issues, and history for newspapers and magazines, including columns for The Hindu and Indian Express.

Archana is the co-author of the bestselling two-volume A History of India for Children, published by Hachette, which was nominated for the Crossword Book Award and included in the Times of India list of 10 books every Indian child must read. With a lifelong passion for books, languages, travel, and history, she has a knack for weaving delightful nuggets of information into engaging tales.

Archana is also a leading national quizzer (she won the ‘Champions of Champions’ title on BBC’s Mastermind India), former National President of the the women’s wing of the FICCI, an MBA graduate from IIM Ahmedabad, and the owner of Touchstone, a successful gems and jewellery business.
