Meena Kandasamy is a poet, fiction writer, translator and activist who was born in Chennai. She has published two collections of poetry, Touch (2006) and Ms. Militancy (2010), and the critically acclaimed novel, The Gypsy Goddess (2014). Her second novel, When I Hit You, was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction in 2018. Most recently, she has published her third novel, Exquisite Cadavers (2019). She currently lives in East London.
