Navjot Kaur is the trailblazer behind Saffron Press. She advocates for greater diversity in children’s literature, through books that reflect a more accurate representation of Sikh identity. With over a decade of experience mentoring pre-service candidates and teaching in classrooms across two continents and diverse communities, Navjot has become a passionate advocate for culturally relevant education. She is the author of three children’s books, with her first, A Lion’s Mane, winning an Honor Books Award for Multicultural and International Awareness. Born and raised in England, Navjot lives just outside Toronto, Canada, where she shares her piles of books with a mighty leader of equity and her gentle warrior of change.
